What is Ideasplash?

Mission statement: Inspiring Creativity, One Child at a Time
Soapbox Rant: Enough with all the talk about the need for creative thinking in our schools, we want to do something about it. Ideasplash is a web site, resource, and programs that show students how they can create new ideas. The ideas of our children are the future and they need to be inspired. They have the power. Ideasplash.org is a resource for educators, parents, and kids of all ages to help, to inspire, and present new opportunities.

Why called Ideasplash? Idea and Splash were some of the 100s of names I was brainstorming with. My dear daughter came into my office and put the 2 words together and eureka! Did you know they say that Ludwig Beethoven would dump cold water over his head for creative inspiration? Sometimes creative ideas are called "sparks" - I like the word "splash" better. Splash sounds like fun - and ideas are fun!

Promoting Creativity and Community:
PR Firms: We love working with you. Please send us an email and let us know about your clients. Though uncomfortable receiving products, we would love to hear news and cool things.
Corporations and Sponsors: Ideasplash is just blasting off and needs your support; not only through monetary donations, but all sorts of supplies for the kids are welcome! More info on our Sponsor page or email us.
Inventors: Though several requests come each day, we’re rather selective about our time in this area. Please send an email regarding your needs and we’ll see if we can work together, or you could be referred to someone.
Schools and Educators: Our main goal is to get into the schools and get some ideas splashing. Please contact us about our assemblies, workshops, and classes for kids - and teachers.

And, of course, if you are a company, corporation, or program with a creative contest for kids, we would love to promote it here!

Please check out our Contact page or send us an email.
